Sunday Morning Children's Activities

Bible Study - 8:45 a.m.

Bible Study is for children ages two to fifth grade.  Children will learn about the Bible through lessons and activities.

We offer a class for special needs children during the Bible Study hour.

All classes are in the Children’s Building.

Children's Church - 10:00 a.m.

Elev8 is a fun and exciting children's church program for children from first through fifth grade.  Elev8 Jr is for children in Pre-K and Kindergarten.

Through music, skits, puppet shows and interactive teaching, kids will:

  • discover what it means to be a Christian and how to become a Christian
  • understand the importance of a relationship with God
  • recognize the importance of deepening their relationship with Christ
  • learn the structure of a church service and prepare them to find true worship while in church and the proper way to act in church
Elev8 takes place in the Multi-Purpose Center (MPC) and Elev8 Jr meets in the Fellowship Hall.

Sundays:  6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

What's Awana?  The ultimate purpose of Awana is leading children to Christ.
Through Bible memorization and other Bible-based achievement, clubbers learn the Word of God.

Ages 2 – 3
Puggles is an enriching program for pre-Cubbies kids (usually older 2- and younger 3-year-olds) that present basic biblical concepts:

  • We are a unique creation of God.
  • God loves us very much.
Puggles teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more.

Preschool
The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:
  • Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
  • Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
Our preschool program meets these needs through fun and lots of it! Games, puppets, crafts, awards, and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Grades K - 2
The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
Club meetings are divided into three segments:
  • Bible teaching, worship, award presentations and the gospel message
  • Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
  • Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle

Grades 3 - 6
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders.
Truth & Training also provides ways to get excited about God’s Word through
  • Four handbooks of increasing difficulty which teach children that life’s ultimate adventure is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A cast of fun characters that boys and girls learn from and follow on interesting journeys in the handbooks
  • Weekly meetings that expose children to the gospel message, Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, team-oriented games and gut-busting fun
  • A Bible-centered curriculum that helps kids build a firm foundation for their faith, hide God’s Word in their heart and apply the truths of Scripture to their daily lives
  • Interactive CDs that use exciting high-tech games to teach and reinforce key biblical truths
  • Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle
